over what types of ads are shown. They're served dynamically, too, so
you just paste code into your site and ads are automatically rotated.
You also get lifetime second-tier revenue sharing -- 5% of the revenue

I used to consider this to be the one "must join" program.
With more products than any other e-tailer, Amazon is sure to have something
to fit your audience. Also, it's rock solid in terms of paying on time
and tracking your stats. Every website should be an Amazon associate.
Unfortunately, it doesn't pay much. Most people report a low income
in the range of $10 to $25 every three months from running Amazon's
promotions. Nothing to sneeze at, but nothing to get too excited about,
either. People don't pay much attention to the ads anymore because Amazon
has been around for so long. Even if somebody does buy a book from your
site, the earnings are just pennies.
Join Amazon, but consider it to be icing on the cake. The real earnings
